Cady's school Christmas party

I was blessed to be able to go to Cady's school Christmas party last Friday. Her teachers always go all out at party time and this was no exception! Before the party started, SANTA even came to visit the kids.
When all the mommies came to play, the kids sat and listened for their instructions.
For the annual exchange, the girls bought girl gifts and the boys bought boy gifts. They all passed their gifts around in a circle while the music played.
Barbie!! Thanks Megan!
Elah kept telling me I was rotten
Christmas BINGO!!
Making the jingle bell craft
The kids all got blindfolded and tried to pin the star on the Christmas tree. Cady kept saying "I cannot see a THING!!"

Here are the words to the song... in case you want to sing along!
Mary had a baby (repeat)
Oh Lord.
Where will she lay him (repeat)
Oh Lord.
She'll lay him in a manger (repeat)
Oh Lord.
What will she name him (repeat)
Oh Lord.
She'll name that baby Jesus! (repeat)
Oh Lord.

Away in the manger

Jingle Bells... yes I know it's sideways!! Will I ever learn?!?!

Santa Claus is coming to town.... apparently I still haven't learned!!

We wish you a merry Christmas!!
The party was so much fun! Cady came home with lots and lots of goodie bags full of candy and other sweet treats. Thanks so much Mrs. Brock and Mrs. Gang!

Christmas cookies

Aunt Ashley and Adria came over to help make some Christmas cookies and candy to give to our friends and family. The girls really enjoyed being our 'big helpers'.

Adria is rolling cookie dough into balls
Cady is just rotten
Aunt Ashley and the sea no-bake cookies
Cady helped drop them on the paper but always had her tongue hanging out.

Disney on Ice

It was girl time at Disney on Ice a couple of weeks ago. Grandma Ha, Aunt Ashley, Adria, Aunt Kelly, Cady and I went downtown to Conseco to watch the show. The girls got dressed up and were totally surprised when they found out the "special place" we were going. They both did remarkably well throughout the show with only minor issues with starving and standing in the seat... nothing that a couple of fruit snacks wouldn't cure!

Hanging with Aunt Kelly before the show!
Aunt Ashley and Adria in awe
The girls loved seeing Minnie!
Genie and Aladdin
Cady in awe!
Cady loves Stitch
There was a really neat part where they skated to "It's a small world." The costumes were really really neat! Our favorite part was the guy who's legs are hairy-er than mine... and that's not easy to do!!
We used intermission for a few photo ops.
Aunt Kelly, Mommy and Cady Lee
And a little silly time."Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me?? M I C K E Y M O U S E!!!"
Adria hugging her mommy!
The grand finale all the princes and princesses skated in the middle together.
Minnie and Mickey! Thanks Grandma for a fun afternoon!!!

Nathan's birhtday party

We were invited to the Bounce Zone to celebrate Nathan's birthday. Nathan's mommy works with me and alot of my work friends and their kids came to play. Cady loved jumping and bouncing and sliding around. And Austin was just as humorous to watch!!

Nathan and Cady. I hardly saw Cady when we were there. She was off and running with the boys!
I found a safe place for Austin to sit and bounce. He had a blast! I also went down the big slide with him... let's start again. I walked through a very challenging obsticle course carrying Austin, then climbed to the top of the GINORMOUS slide. He had such fun and started signing more!!
Erin's girls Addison and Ava are definete Mama's girls... attached at the hip!
Debbi's daughter Kaela jumped right in and started to play.
WHEEEEE!!! That's Cady... going at warp speed down the slide.
Debbi and Makenna going down the slide... BLACKMAIL!!
Oh thanks mom! That was fun!
Austin was loving the balls!
Kim's Anna is trying to catch her breath! I know how you feel girl!!

BUZZZZZZ!!!

Tonight at dinner, Austin decided to mimic yet another thing that his Daddy has done with him. You know how you try to get kids to eat by making the buzzing noise with the spoon as the 'airplane' flies into the kid's mouth... Well, this is Austin's version!!!

And don't you love his "Wuz up??!!"

Austin's birthday- TAKE TWO!!

I still can't believe my little man is TWO!! We completed our week of birthday celebrations last night with a little gathering at our house!! The birthday boy woke up from his nap to a house full of people and was all smiles!! We ate dinner with Grandma Ha, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Ashley, Charles, Nana, Papa, Shelby and Kalob. On the menu... barbeque chicken, mac and cheese and green beans!! Some of Austin's favorite!

Birthday kisses with Aunt Ashley
And birthday hugs from Cady

After dinner, we watched Austin open his presents. He quickly figured out that if you tear the paper off the gifts, you find fun things inside!! He loved all the gifts that make music and all his new BALLS! It's fun to sing the wheels on the bus song too!
Balls
Austin loves his new cow face... I mean book
The wheels on the bus go round and round
This is a square ball from Mommy and Daddy. He loves playing with this ball during therapies and now he has one of his very own!
Nana and Papa bought him a bear that sings and lights up. He loved giving him big hugs!

Then the cake... that I actually MADE!!! All by myself!!!
Austin loved his Elmo cake. He sat and smiled while everyone sang him Happy Birthday!
He tried so hard to blow out his candles but couldn't quite get it by himself.
Grandma Ha tried to get Austin to give Elmo a kiss.... he didn't fall for that one though!
Yummy yummy!
Adria closed her eyes everytime she took a bite.
What a ham!
Austin loves drinking out of big people cups... especially Elmo cups!
