A couple of weeks ago, we began going to Easterseals Crossroads to see Holly for physical therapy. We are very grateful that she is willing to continue to provide PT for Austin since his graduation from First Steps. We have therapy in the pediatric gym which is a room full of sensory FUN! Austin practiced climbing steps, walking around obstacles, and jumping on his first trampoline. I'm really not sure who had more fun... Holly loved being reunited with the kids! Austin loved exploring his playroom. Cady did too! She played on the monkey bars, trampoline, and swings... Everyone's favorite... the ball pit!

Star of the week

A couple of weeks before Christmas, Cady was the Star of the Week at school. She was the line leader that week, was able to bring a special snack on Friday and show and tell. Austin and I brought in juice, grapes and Christmas cookies to her class! Cady was so excited to see you little brother there! Austin was the center of attention at times but she was so proud of him!

On the way out, Austin and I found Cady's wish list hanging in the hall... baby, doll, Wii games, DS, and movies... hummmmm...

Ten on Tuesday

Thought I would give this 10 on Tuesday a try since I do have a lot of random pics and stories to share!

1- King Austin is really into sitting in front of the mirror staring at himself. He loves his king crown and frequently can be found with necklaces, sunglasses or headbands as accessories!
2- We love to sing!! ABCs, EIEIO, Twinkle twinkle! Most of these songs are very hard to understand but he is super-proud of himself!

3. Austin has a new found love of Hi Ho Cherry-o!! He, Cady and Dana love to take turns spinning and playing!

4. Austin has also been brushing up on his fine motor skills by stringing foam beads! This was a major task that he hated and protested! Now he thinks he's hot stuff!!

5. Cady continues to be an amazing big sister! She loves to read books to her little brother!

6. Cady was just dying to start decorating for Christmas. One of her favorite things to put up is the nativity scene. I'm so glad that she remembers why we celebrate Chrstimas.

7. Happy Thanksgiving! We went to Aunt Mary's and Uncle Kenny's house to enjoy dinner with our family. I'm so grateful to spend the day with my amazing family! Just look at the smile on that sweet little boy!! We took his walker over. Boodaddy had tears in his eyes as Austin walked across the living room to see him! Just something else to be thankful for!

8. Austin has also figured out how to get on his hands and knees. He gets so proud of himself!!! "I did it" he says everytime!!

9. More decorating fun!! Cady was such a cheeseball! Austin just loved all the balls! He tried so hard to get them on the tree and occasionally succeeded. He discovered a tractor ornament... well, let's just say that one never made it on the tree!

10. We all decorated the big tree together. I loved watching Cady hang up the ornaments and help Austin out. Austin laid many many ornaments on a single branch! Too funny!! Daddy even put the star on top of the tree!

Happy birthday dear Austin!!

We started his birthday celebration about a week before he officially turned three when our therapist friends began bringing him gifts. He got balloons, bubbles, books, markers, coloring books... lots of his favorite things from therapies! The party continued on Thanksgiving as we opened some gifts from our family!

Austin loved unwrapping his gifts.
Thomas the train DVD
Lots of big boy school clothes!
He loved this little blue car from Aunt Kelly. He drove it around the house for three days!
Grandma bought him this really cute little fire truck couch for him to drive his car around on.

The Sunday after his birthday, we had a small get-together with our family at home. George, the little boy across the street that is in Austin's class at school, came over as well. He had pizza on Mickey plates and a wonderful Mickey cake!
Aunt Ashley and Aunt Kelly... aren't they cute!?!?!
George loved helping Austin open presents!
Nana and Papaw bought Austin a fire truck, police car and ambulance that have real sirens!
We were super-excited about Austin's new big BOY bike! He calls it an airplane but hey... whatever works!
A ball pit from Nana and Papaw
Austin sang along as with us as we wished him a Happy Birthday!!
