See, we have been working on this for a while. Every time we try, Austin gets really irritated and mad. He starts failing his arms around and yelling. He pushes the cup away!! This was truly amazing, watching him do it all by himself... with his favorite little cheerleader right by his side!! Good job therapist, Cady

Another first
Last night I was busy fixing dinner. Austin was in his swing cranking up a storm. Not wanting to stop what I was doing, I asked Cady to try to give him a drink of milk to pacify him til dinner. Next thing I know, he's holding the cup all by himself... and DRINKING!!!

Putt Putt
When I first heard Cady's class was going on a field trip the the Noblesville batting cages and minature golf, I was a little surprised. Eleven three and four year old with weapons?? That can't be a good idea. But it actually went much better than I could have ever expected. It was a gorgeous day, warm and windy. The kids were all really well behaved and very very excited!
All the kids in their "belly back" line. See Cady in her white pants and light blue jacket??
Silly faces
This week was a lot of fun during physical therapy. After showing Holly how he loved to roll around his tunnel, Austin showed her how much fun a mirror could be. He made silly faces and flirted with his reflection. Can't really blame him though... he's so stinking cute!! Mommy got lots of really great blackmail pictures of Holly sticking her tongue out too.
Another beautiful day
Adria's second birthday was just last month but you'd never know it based on her little personality. I picked her up from daycare on Monday and she was too funny. She couldn't wait to get back to Aunt Mo's house and go outside and play. When Cady came home, they played together outside.
RETIRED!!
On July 3rd, 2007, we picked up Austin's helmet. It has been a total whirlwind of highs and lows with that silly hat. That hat is stinky, sweaty and gross. We began to think it was holding Austin back from moving around on the floor, sitting up and sleeping at night. The past couple of months, Austin was so mad everytime we put his helmet on.
We took Austin for his final measurements on Monday. His numbers really haven't changed much at all since November. Nelson put the helmet on Austin just briefly to see how it fits and boy was Austin ticked!! It was really nice to hear them say that he was all done. Dan and I had already decided that we were done and just wanted the 'professionals' to agree with our decision.
When we got home from AOI, I knew I had come one thing to do. I needed to change the stickers on Austin's hat just one more time...

Tunnel of fun
Santa brought Austin these cute yellow tunnels for Christmas. Someone told us that it would be great to teach him to roll around and crawl through at some point in time. I've never pulled them out before this week. But on Monday we found a new form of entertainment... for us and the kids!!
"Hey bubby! Don't scoot away from me!!"
Kicky feet
Sitting in the tunnel... SO BIG!
Holly loved watching Austin holding himself up on his arms and rolling around in the tunnel. It amazing what we have found to help distract that kid during his therapies!!
Vestibular stimulation
Daddy and Holly laid Austin on a blanket and each took a side and lifted him up. They were swinging him back and forth in lots of directions inside the blanket. Austin had a BLAST!! He was laughing and giggling so loudly. His face turned bright red from laughing. I think Cady was jealous. I don't know whether she wanted to be in the blanket

Spring break 2008~ Bloomington, Indiana
Another really fun vacation to Bloomington to visit with Grammy and Boodaddy!! Of course we went to the park and had a great time. Swinging, sliding, picnicing!!! Austin wasn't too sure about the slide until he was at the bottom then he just giggled and laughed!! The kids just love to be outside.

Back at the house, we enjoyed lots of laughs. Cady had fun playing games with everyone, blowing bubbles, and spending quality time with Grammy and Boodaddy. Austin had a blast putting toys in and out of the bowl, dancing to the music and playing 'upside down baby'!! Thanks for another great trip!

Easter Sunday
Sick girl
Just before Easter, I tucked Cady in for her nap for the third time. Then I hear her up in our bedroom yelling for me... AGAIN! Ready to beat her, I ran upstairs only to find her covered in vomit. Gross, too much info, I know! But boy was she sick. She vomited all night, laid on the couch for two days straight, and hardly ate anything for four days.
