Orthotics June 19th

Austin and I went to Midwest Orthotics to get him fitted for his special boots. They are supposed to help with his standing and give his ankles some extra support. I was a little nervous about this appointment, not knowing what to expect but he did really well.
Measuring his tiny feet
Cookies are a great distraction tool!
They put a big sock up to his ankle. They wrapped his lower leg with this green casting material and let it dry. It really dried pretty quickly too. The yellow bar is where they cut the cast off when they were done.
Drying... What are they doing to my leg?!?!?!
ALL DONE!!! The finished product looked really cool. Now they will make Austin's special shoes from the molds of his legs. 2-4 weeks until they come in...
